Eligibility for Membership

Membership in the First Families of Kentucky shall be by invitation only. An individual will be recommended by a member in good standing who will serve as the proposer and another member in good standing who will serve as the seconder. The proposer will attach a brief, one page biographical sketch of the person being recommended. After the Governor General receives the information, he or she will provide the Membership Committee with the proposed name and biographical sketch for their consideration. If the Membership Committee approves the person being nominated for membership the Registrar General will then send the proposed member an application form.
